Mario and I are getting ready to move into a new apartment at the end of the summer. I am so excited to start decorating our new apartment, it's a lot smaller than our old one, but how much space do we really need anyways! The new apartment is a lot cozier which I'm excited about. The past couple weeks I've been on pinterest trying to get ideas of how to make our new apartment the perfect little space for the both of us. Anyone that knows me knows that I have a love for all things pretty, especially when it comes to fashion and interior design, and design in general. I think that a home reflects the people who live there, and their style. Although we are broke college students trying to make ends meet, there are still so many ways to make an apartment look sophisticated and mature, but still young and trendy. Just yesterday we stopped at our local goodwill (you can never underestimate a goodwill run) and found the cutest rug! It's totally new, and from target, it has the same style that a lot of the rugs on pinterest have, but obviously cheaper. At target it runs for a little over one hundred bucks, but we snatched it for a little more than half of that price. Such a steal. Most of the furniture we have gotten from our parents, and luckily both of our moms have amazing style. We are pretty lucky to have some timeless and functional furniture that we plan to use for quite a while, so early on in our marriage.
I can't wait to start setting things up, especially since our room needs some major tlc. Our friend is making us a rustic wood headboard that will definitely help making our room look a lot better. Pinterest is my best friend guys, my stylist, interior designer, chef, ( ok, I'm still working on the chef part) and seriously just motivates me to muster up new ideas for our home. Here are a few of the ones that are currently inspiring me to want to get down to business and decorate that 750 square foot apartment!
