Macrame DIY (attempt)

I was bit with the craft bug. lol thats really funny because I never am.
I have always thought the macrame wall hangings were so cool,
and I also have always wished I was craftier.
So there I was monday afternoon ready to take it all on.

headed to the craft store and got a wooden dowel, macrame rope, and some inspiration,
headed home and attempted to be crafty.

Seriously took me about an hour to do the second knot, took me a half hour to do the the first knot.
I would be  a terrible boy scout.

At the end I learned some valuable things, like patience, and knot skills.

After a couple of hours of knotting, I finally got the hang of how to do it, which was a miracle!
I think the next time i try I will attempt to do it with yarn. The macrame was pretty thick and i think needs to be kept at a longer length to achieve the look I was going for.
With a yarn wall hanging it will look a lot more full and can be made as colorful as I would like.
even though it looks very homemade i stepped away feeling accomplished, haha.

Here we go round two!
