Not the most flattering picture of all time, but whatever, MATTIE IS BACK!!
I was so excited to come down for Mattie's homecoming this past weekend. Seriously so crazy how fast a year and a half passed by. It feels like just yesterday we were all just hanging out watching how to lose a guy in ten days, (a dozen times) at each other's houses. I am beyond grateful to have such amazing women in my life. Aside from my mom, I have been surrounded by wonderful empowering kind hearted women! In high school where a lot of people feel like they are losing themselves at such a confusing and crazy time, I can honestly say that I found myself. I am still growing and being shaped and molded, but without my friends in high school there is no way I would have made it through that time. These are women that inspired me to be better, laughed with me, cried with me, and who I know I will continually be able to lean on.
Relationships change as we grow up, we all go our separate ways, whether to school, or mission's or marriage, but my friends are people I will always remember and keep in touch with one way or another. I am so happy that all our families are still in the area, and also grateful that Mario and I have the same group of friends haha.
In high school Mattie was always someone I could lean on and talk with about anything without ever feeling judged. She was the one who would come over to my house with ice cream in hand whenever I was having a little teenage crisis. We went on road trips together, studied together, were inspired by each other. She is the sweetest person I know, with such a beautiful heart. There have been several times in my life where I have tried to be a little more like her! not only that but she makes the best treats!! haha
xoxoxox I love you Mattiekins!
